REASON vs. BEING
REASON vs BEING, You're thinking "What kind of psycho-phyisicalogical rant is
this clown on now!" Well just relax and hitch your train to this explanation and
it will become clear as mud. YUK-YUK!! What I'm talking about is are you going
to groove on the moment or analyze the crap out of it and lose what is freely
given. It's as simple as just gazing at the sunrise and saying "Wow, that's
really cool" and leave it at that, or driving yourself nuts trying to figure out
the why and how it is happening..."Humm, let's see it is the light/energy of the
sun coming around the from the other side of the earth refracting through the
moisture in the atmosphere delivering a prism effect to the rods and cones in
our inner eye which is sent by nerve impulses to the receptors in the cerebral
cortex of our frontal brain lobes." Whew, by the time you figure all that out
the sunrise is gone and you missed all the beauty that was there in front of you
to enjoy. Our reasoning and analyses is a double edge sword. It works OK on the
simple things like how our pancreas or liver works but not too good for the
larger picture of why or who created them in the first place. Question; Which
came first, the chicken or the egg? Answer; The ROOSTER!! Mankind has been
trying to figure out the why of our existence since we acquired the ability to
wonder. We have come up with alot of wild hypotheses in the guise of religion to
explain the unexplainable. That is probably the reason for religion to put our
little minds to rest with some flowery grandiose fable that we are supposed to
believe in unquestioning faith. Whether God, Budda, Krishna, or the Great White
Buffalo created it does not matter, it just simply IS!! LIFE IS!! When a bird
wakes up in the morning singing it is not concerned about if it is going to find
enough seeds for the day or if it is going to find enough sticks for its nest,
it just sings for the sake of Being. TA-DA there is the Being part. Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi wrote a book called "The Science of Being and the Art of Living" in
which he addresses this very topic. All the rest of Creation exists in the
moment, not questioning why. It just is and deal with it. If we could do the
same therein lies serenity. I think Shakespeare was hinting on that when he
wrote "To Be or not to Be, That is the Question". Let's all just do our best and
groove on the moment, because all we ever have is right now. Time to lighten up,
my head's spinning, how's yours?
On to Zzen chapter news; I understand there is some discussion on if 49cc
scooter and ATV riders should be licensed to operate on the streets. When they
crash the data goes into the statistics of our overall motorcycle accident
reports. That doesn't look good for us. Alot of people riding them do so because
they have had their license revoked for some reason or other. If you ride on the
streets you SHOULD have a license. That is a no brainer! If you don't even know
the rules of the road you're flirting with disaster. Not only putting yourself
in danger but everyone else trying to avoid your incompetence. By the time this
comes out we would have had our Dec. 13th Christmas Party at the Chancelor Bar
and I'm sure we had a good time. Our next highly classified meeting is on...?
Heck I don't even know. I tried calling all over to find out the when and where
but nobody is answering my calls, go figure! Do you think it's just me they
don't want to talk to? NAWW, well maybe. If you want to find out give Linda a
call @ ??? She just gave me a jingle an' told me not to put her phone number in
the newsletter or serious bodily harm would come to me if I did. However she did fes up that our next covert meeting is January 10th @ 1:00 pm @ the Ace of
Spades in Canton. Enough for now, HOOTIE-HOOT!!!! Later, WIZ
